Founded in Galway in 2008, Entrust is a planning, environmental, and technical consultancy supporting developers and asset owners across the full pre-construction lifecycle. The team works across solar PV, wind energy, battery energy storage, grid infrastructure, heat networks, water infrastructure and wireless telecoms, providing the range of expertise that complex, multi-disciplinary projects increasingly require.

What the team does

Entrust Services’ offering span planning applications, environmental impact assessment, ecology, landscape and visual appraisal, CAD layout and design, GIS and technical surveys, drone work, public consultation, and project management through to the discharge of pre-construction planning conditions. Having that in-house breadth means clients benefit from a joined-up approach rather than managing multiple specialist firms across a project’s lifespan.

The Tipperary Renewable Energy Hub is a good illustration of this in practice. Entrust Services was appointed to undertake all planning applications for a major solar and battery storage cluster in Roscrea, County Tipperary, a project spanning four solar farms, a battery energy storage system, a 110kV substation, overhead and underground grid connection lines. Coordinating technical, ecological, archaeological and community workstreams, the team also successfully discharged all conditions and enabled the project to move to construction.
